We've arrived!
February 28, 2008
Well, here we are, in good ol' P.G! We've arrived in our new house, which is, well, empty, safe and sound after a pleasantly uneventful drive from Smithers. We did manage to make it to Canadian Tire just as it was closing, so we now have a nice inflatable mattress upon which to rest our weary heads tonight. Tomorrow our stuff arrives, and the fun begins!
The sellers left the house in wonderful shape - the driveway's cleared, the heat's up, and there's a thirteen-foot pile of snow where the front lawn should be.
I better start working on those shoveling muscles!
But for my first set of exercises, I must begin with the lungs.
Time to blow up that air mattress...

Hooray!! So, was your house 'safe and sound' or did you arrive 'safe and sound?' I am a little confused with your punctuation and grammar. Sounds like you have much more snow than we do, and we're having a snowy year! (But no snow days yet...the only one we got we had the day off anyways...)

It was trick grammar - both we and the house were safe and sound. Subjective genitive. Or objective genetive. Or something.

"But for my first set of exercises, I must begin with the lungs" I thought you meant going out for a smoke :)
