A Coat of Arms of My Very Own!

Does this mean I should be called "Sir Jim"?

But more importantly, do those acorns mean something in particular?

Or even worse, that snake wrapped around the tree?

Wow! That's a big snake (or a small tree, I guess)... It's gonna be tough sewing that on all your shirts.

I think that's a skinny mushroom cloud... inside a big corkscrew. It means that Jim likes to drink wine during nuclear bombardment.

FtAT: I think you are exactly right. Also, the acorns were originally a prophetic vision of the Scrat (sabre-toothed squirrel) from the Ice Age movies. Obviously, this represents Jim's perseverance against all odds and his undying affection for nuts.

FtAT, your analysis makes me wonder what kinds of results you'd find if you took a Rorschach test. And JPB, McKinley figures the acorns have to do with the fact that we're all, and I quote, "a bit nutty." And Josh, I know several ladies with sewing and quilting talents, so we may have to have a coat-of-arms-making bee one of these days!

A bit nutty ... hmmm ... would this refer only to the "Jim Witteveen" branch of the family tree or extended family as well? Where did you get this?
