A Walk Near the Lokichoggio River at Dusk

On Wednesday evening before dinner, I went for a walk across the river into the hills with Peter, William, and Peter, the three Turkana students. It's a good thing they came along, because one of the Turkana men herding his goats by the river saw me taking pictures, and started yelling that he wanted money. So one of the Peters started yelling back at him, No, we weren't going to pay, he was just trying to rip us off... in the end, both of them were laughing. Then I showed the man the pictures I had taken, and he was so taken with the digital technology that he volunteered to have his picture taken... and he was disappointed when I said I didn't want to take one. These pictures were taken on the road to the river, on the dry riverbed itself, and in a quarry on the other side of the river.
